O2 Retinol Serum

As someone who has tried many Retinols, I really loved this one. I didn’t feel as though I needed to layer with a moisturizer because this serum took care of it. It was non irritating and the lines around my lips looked smoother. I do recommend this to anyone who wants to start a retinol but are afraid of irritation.

This product became a hero to healing for my skin! Love the plant derived in this retinol which gives no irritation. There is a slight medical smell but it goes away when it’s completely absorbed into the skin. It’s the perfect night time routine and lasts quite awhile. Smoothes out my texture skin! Definitely will keep using!

I’ve been using the Element Eight O2 Retinol Serum for a few weeks now and I can honestly say it feels different from other retinols I’ve tried. The texture is lightweight and sinks in quickly without leaving that sticky film. My skin has started looking smoother and a little more even, especially around my forehead and chin where I usually notice fine lines first. It is pricey, but a little goes a long way—I only need one pump at night. I also haven’t had the irritation or peeling that I usually get when starting a retinol, which is a big plus. Definitely a splurge, but it feels like a step up in my routine.

I've been an avid retinol user for a year now, and an element 8 fan for almost as long. But there is 1 thing I hate about every retinol product I've ever used- and that is the smell. For me, the biggest positive about this product over every other retinol on the market- is just that, the smell. Its herbaceous, pleasant, and just not at all gross. I don't know how they did it- but I'm in love. Add to that- after a year of using retinol, I thought my wrinkles were about as good as they were going to get. I'm 43- some wrinkles are just part of life. Nope. Another five to ten years are just gone. In a month- what few crows feet and forehead wrinkles I had left have disappeared. I'm passing for at least 30 again. (I've always been baby faced). The bottle, of course, is beautiful, and weighty. The one "complaint" if you can call it that- is that I wish they sold refills instead of having to throw away the big heavy bottle and get another one. The top is easy to remove- so refills would be an easy add! A solid 5 out of 5!

I was very excited to try this product. I had never used a retinol. I’ve heard about some being too strong and causing irritation. I had no irritation at all. The packing is absolutely gorgeous. The bottle is made of glass and feel luxurious. The pump gives the perfect amount of product for half of your face. I used two to completely cover my face. I used at night as instructed. I used my other products as I have been. I didn’t change anything and I had no problems at all. I feel like my skin looks more radiant. I can tell my forehead wrinkles have diminished a great deal and will keep using to see the full effects. My face also looks brighter and I feel like my texture has lessened as well. I was gifted this product in exchange for my honest review.

This is a very lovely serum. The bottle is beautiful and looks great on the self and the box that is comes is sturdy and has a high end quality to it. I appreciated that it was in a pump bottle so that it is protected from the air and will stay fresh. It has a clean scent that I couldnt place. It was not overwhelming at all. It has a spa like quality to it that is reminiscent of the ocean with salty/briny notes. It was not irritating at all, proving to be quite gentle and easy for my skin to tolerate. Though this item would be used in a serum step it doesn't have the typical translucent serum appearance. Instead it has the texture of a light lotion and feels the same on the skin. It is lightly hydrating and I did not feel the need for additional moisture in the evenings on my oily skin. Dryer skin would probably need additional moisture. The liquid oxygen is a interesting component, It is said to enhance penetration without irritation and I can speak to the lack of irritation. I noticed improved clarity as well as a more even skintone while using this product. I would gladly continue using this in my evening skincare routine.
