Joan Rhapsody Waterproof Chelsea Boot (Women)

I have 3 pair of sorel boots that I love and wanted a wedge option as well. Usually a 9 in most shoes and 9 1/2 in sorel boots so bought a 9 1/2. Technically fit but the top will cut into your ankle as the day goes on. Not sure there is a thick enough sock out there to combat how it hurts. Skin was rubbed raw after 3 hours.

This is the perfect little bootie to dress up an outfit, to give yourself some height etc. I tried these on with pantyhose on the sales floor and loved them. Granted I didn’t walk in them for hours and can’t respond to how the top of the boot cuts into your ankle. My gripe is that in the four times I’ve tried to put them on and wear them out the door, I cannot find a good sock to go with them. I have tried the thinnest of socks and what happens is that it feels as if your toe is going to come through your sock because of how tight it is to slide the boot on. Your sock doesn’t stay in place by the time it’s in the shoe properly. The boot is also slightly narrow.

Nice waterproof ankle boot. Easy to slip on. The wedge takes a little getting used to. I wear with a medium to thin cotton sock mid calf and is comfortable. Other reviewers have commented on how the top part of the boot hits your leg and is uncomfortable. My experience is with a sock it’s been fine.

I bought these to walk around in NYC I wanted so bad to love them I wore a thick sock first when I put them on and my toes were hurting because there is no room to stretch them out they are narrow so I went with a thin sock walked around the hotel room and my toes settled but then we walked outside and I could feel the back rubbing my ankle only walked a New York block and went right back to change my feet were hurting so bad I will have to return them

First, I am not a huge bootie fan. I feel like most kinda chop up my look making seem stout. These are roomie around the opening so I don’t look disproportionate. They are so comfortable, stylish & can be worn anywhere. I wear them with jeans, skirts, dresses, trousers and even as quick slip offs to yoga! I did buy these directly from Sorel for my first pair but bought two other colors from Nordstrom.
