Timberland
The mission of Timberland is to inspire and equip the world to step outside, work together and make it better. Founded in 1952 in Boston, the company is best known for its iconic "original yellow boot," which debuted in 1973. Those waterproof leather boots set new standards for craftsmanship, durability and protection—and still embody the spirit of all Timberland shoes made today.

Cheaply made, wore out quickly
Cracked on a seam after 14 months of use, no warranty and no advice on repair from "customer service". No longer the quality footwear they used to be.

Have been using this boot for years!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hike 5-7 miles a day. This boot has been my only one for well over 20 years, and I'm on my 10th pair. It needs no break-in, and is a joy to wear. Every few years I treat myself to a new pair for the tremendous extra support it provides.

The plans are to try again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these boots for walking our county roads and hiking nearby trails. This is my first pair of Maddsen after several pairs of White Ledge. I got tired of the toe separation on each pair of my White Ledge, which allows moisture to enter the toe box. In defense of the shoe, I usually have a couple hundred miles on them on some difficult trails. Thought I would give Maddsen a try. The stitching gave way after two or three months. Maybe a hundred miles or so. The plus is the company was very prompt is approving a replacement pair of boots.
