Better than expected once on feet!
I was really struggling with this decision to purchase this. There was another model that is similar that didn't have my size. It was suggested to go with these since they use the same sole...but different lace system. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. The comfort on these is extremely impressive. Great toe box and nice retro feel.

Not comfortable
the shoes feel too wide, so I can’t tighten them properly around my ankle. Also, my toes are hitting the edge of the shoe, which makes them uncomfortable to wear.

Great
Loved these, comfortable and true to size. Very nice looking. Would recommend for walking or wearing on an everyday basis. I wouldn’t work out with these just because the sole is a bit rigid.

Smaller than previous versions
Sizing has changed dramatically. The size 12 D I ordered when compared to pair of same size order last year were 1/3 of an inch narrower! Why are manufacturers making shoes that are no longer true to size!
New Balance US response
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the sizing concerns you experienced. We understand how frustrating it is when a size 12 D fits noticeably narrower than previous pairs, especially when you’ve come to rely on consistent sizing. Please reach out to our Customer Care team so they can document this feedback and help with next steps or alternative options.
