Abele Penny Loafer (Women)

This is a beautiful shoe. Sleek. Buttery soft suede. I am a true 8.5 or 39. After reading other reviews I ordered the 8. My foot is not really narrow width wise, but I lack volume and have a narrow heel. The 8 was just a tad too short length wise. The width on the forefoot or ball was perfect, but elsewhere it was gaping open and too loose, and my heel slipped, even after adding an insert. Such a great shoe and the cognac seems to be a great spring/summer neutral, I reordered in the 8.5 narrow and am crossing my fingers! Loafers are hot this season, but I am having a hard time finding any with the slight heel like this one has.

Preppy chic is trending for fall 2025. These elevated (literally and figuratively!) penny loafers are everything. I’m like Goldilocks when it comes to shoes. It’s always a challenge to find comfortable footwear that aren’t sneakers. I’m happy to say that these are perfection in form and function. The leather on this pair confidently walks the fine line between being too soft and too stiff. The heel does the same: it’s neither too high nor too low, and just chunky enough to be stylish without looking clodhopper-ish. Because they taper ever so slightly, they can read casual or dressy depending on how you style them. The cognac suede is simply stunning, a cozy warm neutral perfect for autumn outfits. I ordered a size 10. They fit my slightly wide size 10 feet perfectly. I can rarely wear loafers because of my high insteps. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to slide into these without the least bit of tugging and wiggling. I just ordered a traditional Ralph Lauren plaid blazer. My inaugural autumn outfit: Ralph Lauren blazer, denim shirt, ivory chinos, and these stunning loafers. A+ I recommend that you size down.
