the Mary Jane I was looking for
When I was a kid, I had this ‘kung fu shoe’ and this is the adult version of that. Been on the hunt for years and this is the Mary Jane shoe I’ve been looking for all these years.
Fit: I’m a true 8.5 M in most shoes and I purchased a size 9. I say it’s true to size as there is an allowance - maybe a half inch or less when I wear it without socks but this somehow still works for me.
I like the neoprene material, which hugs my foot just right.
Bottom sole does feel like a sneaker
It has a removable insole with a nice material.
Arch support seems to be good.
A complaint on the right shoe: there are stitches right behind the rubber outsole portion where i can feel the roughness, at the front of the shoe by my right big toe (the left lower cushy part if that makes sense). So I ordered a second pair (cos that’s how much I want this shoe) to compare and that rough portion is on the same spot (weird that I feel it on the right shoe only) but it doesn’t rub my toe as the first pair did. I broke this toe years ago so not sure if this is a problem for me only especially as I don’t have this issue with the left pair.
