Rossie Water Resistant Chelsea Boot (Women)

I usually wear US size 9.5/10, and the 11US/41EU fit me great. The leather was super soft (so soft that I’m unsure of how they would’ve held up long term) and I loved the fuzzy, soft lining inside. They did lack a bit of structure in the ankle which caused slight folding in the leather when wearing. Unfortunately when I received the boots I noticed what appeared to be peeling leather on the top of one boot as well as worn down rubber on the back of both soles. I’m not sure if these boots were previously worn and returned, but for $240 I was very disappointed in the quality/durability of both the boots and Nordstrom’s quality control. Bummer that these boots didn’t work out because I truly LOVED the style.

I had a hard time finding reviews for this boot, or much info about the brand, so I wasn't sure about the boots, but decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. They are beautiful, well made with a rugged sole, the leather is very good quality, and they required no breaking in--I wore them all day the first time out with no problems. The shaft is fairly narrow (as you can see in the pictures), which is great for me because I have thin ankles and calves, but if you have wider ankles or calves keep this in mind. I generally wear size 8 or 8.5, and size 8 in these boots fit me perfectly even with a medium-weight wool sock.
