Almost perfect!
I wanted to love these but they slip off my ankle when I walk. They do not come in half sizes so I ordered the 10. The 9 (40) would be too small.
I have wide feet and it was snug at the ball of my foot. Bummed. It is slightly more grayish than beige. Beautiful boot though. I gave it 4 stars because of these issues.

High Quality Construction
If you are new to Penelope Chilvers, it is worth noting these boots are made in Spain and the quality is quite apparent. Alas, the boot is only available in whole sizes and the EU39 (8 US) slips off my heel too much. From my past experience with this brand, I know the EU38 would be too small (and it’s sold out anyway). I measure a 7.5 US and have a wider than average foot. This boot looks quite narrow but fits my wider foot quite comfortably. I'm not giving up on this brand yet as I like many of the newer (2025) boots and booties with a similar aesthetic.
