Black velvet skirt

Slimming but fits small
This is a really pretty skirt and has a slimming fit but it does run small. According to the size chart I should be a small but I found the fit too tight. For reference my hips are a 38 and waist is 28 but I had a hard time getting the skirt over my hips. The elastic waistband is just applied to the fabric then folded over and not tacked down. For the price I would have expected a more finished garment. I gave it 3 stars for fit and finish. I do like the skirt however so I'm ordering the medium in hopes I will like the fit and it won't be too big.

You get what you pay for

Nice but small
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the product is nice. Quality stitching and good fabric. The sizing seems to run small. I went for the small but should have sized up to a medium. Even with stretch, it’s just too tight around the hips.

love my velvet skirt!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is so crazy that I'm getting these requests to review products at least 1. 5 years post-purchase. Sure I do love this velvet skirt! It's pretty basic--2 cuts of black velvet, an elastic waistband, 2 seams and a hem to be exact. but it was 30% off after Christmas 2023 so I grabbed it. i still like it!
