No.5P Blonde Enhancer Toning Conditioner

My hair is lavender blue. I used the shampoo and conditioner twice, leaving each on for approximately two minutes. The first use was fine. The second one left all of my white hair (my hair is a mix of blonde, gray and white) lavender blue. Not only disappointing but annoying and a waste of both my time and money .

This shampoo and conditioner is brilliant for recreating that post-salon blonde toning appointment, at home. These are both well worth investing in, for an at home treatment, to keep your blonde from yellowing, and to prolong the time between appointments… amazing! Recommend to natural and highlighted blondes!

I've been using the Olaplex No. 5P Blonde Enhancer Toning Conditioner, and here's my take. The packaging is practical and easy to use, with a pump that dispenses the perfect amount of product. I've been using Olaplex purple shampoo for a while and find it really helps to stop my coloured hair developing brassy tones. To be honest, that's what I thought I'd picked up in the shop, but it was the conditioner! However, I was happy to try it. It conditions without making my hair too soft and flat and I think it does help keep the colour, but on its own is not as good at doing this as the shampoo. However, it's easier to get off your hands!

Truthfully I bought this by mistake, meaning to buy the shampoo equivalent. This is nice, and it's a more accessible way of toning my balyage unlike the shampoo which does require a bit more effort (the shampoo makes your hands go purple and dries your hair out that you need to use a conditioner straight afterwards). This conditioner is lightweight, but moisturising enough that it does feel like it's giving my hair a deep condition, all whilst subtly toning my hair. So as a conditioner it's lovely. However, in terms of purely toning my hair, I prefer the shampoo. The shampoo is a much more concentrated product that I find, when rubbed into my hair like a hairdresser would a toner in a salon, my blonde is much brighter. I guess together the two products would be unstoppable but I'm not made of money...!

This is a great conditioner in my opinion - detangles, softens and definitely tones down brassy coloured hair. I’ve been using the purple shampoo for a while now and think it’s great but this adds to the richness of coloured hair. They work perfectly together making my blond hair much brighter and definitely prolongs my colour. Would buy again.
