What it is: A refillable scented candle with notes of orange blossom, jasmine and iris.

Fragrance story: Light the Nymphee Merveilles (Nymphaeum of Wonders) candle and you're entering the enchanted gardens of the Renaissance, losing yourself in the splendors of 16th-century Italy. Let the sun, and art itself, be your compass.

Style: Fresh.

How to use: The first time you burn your Diptyque candle, allow it to burn for at least two hours until the whole top is liquid with wax to help your candle burn more evenly next time. Before lighting, trim the wick to 1/4-inch length, which will allow the candle to burn slowly and will help avoid unsightly black marks around the edge of the glass. After blowing out your candle, recenter and straighten the wick.

A World of Fails
The Les Mondes was woefully underwhelming. Super faint burn throw. I had to stand over it to smell any fragrance. Has to be held close to face while unlit to smell. Maybe would’ve scented a very small powder room, but this is a statement item that should carry in a living room. With a long inaugural & second burn needed (i.e. 4+ hours), I only got about 3 total lights before it was spent. Given the hype, I expected more, especially at this price point. Only positive was the vessel; well-made and visually stunning. Hope they make a Baies/Figuier/Roses refill for this vessel in a future release. Reluctant to try the LMDD line refills since it was so disappointing. This candle didn’t captivate anything but my money. Save yours.

Such a disappointment
I've been wanting a Diptyque candle for ages. I got a holiday bonus at work and decided that at long last, it was time, and decided on the Nymphees Merveilles refillable candle. What a disappointment! What a faint, blah, ordinary scent! At this price point, I expected so much more. I immediately returned it. After years of dreaming about Diptyque candles, it's a bit of a tragedy that my first purchase from this brand will also be my last.
