Worst service at Nordstrom Walnut Creek!
I bought a pair of pants online and brought them to Nordstrom Walnut Creek for alterations. To my surprise, I was quoted about $56 for the work—even though free alterations are available in my membership.
The store itself was chaotic, and the evening staff seemed overwhelmed and in need of customer service training. The interaction I had with the manager was especially disappointing; the lack of courtesy and professionalism did not reflect the Nordstrom standards I’ve come to expect.
I’ve always associated Nordstrom with excellent service, but this experience left me very dissatisfied. It felt like the company’s standards for customer care and staff training have slipped considerably.

Nordstroms policy/Slacks purchase
Slacks purchased at half yearly sale. Quality of material and manufacture was ok. Ive been shopping at Nordstroms for at least 40 years so was surprised when I had to pay to have them hemmed when I took them to the local Nordstroms Rack (the local Nordstroms store closed a few years back). Was told that because they were purchased on sale there was a charge for alteration (24$). Things do change I suppose.
