Ms. Amelie Mary Jane Pump (Women)

This shoe was love at first sight. I’d been looking for double strap Mary Janes for a while before I stumbled onto the Amelie. The price is outrageous. I kept coming back to drool though. I finally succumbed to temptation and purchased. I am typically a size 9 in everything with an average width so I bought a 39 despite most websites recommending a 39.5 or 40. Glad I went with my gut—the 39 is a great fit. The shoes look great too. I’ve worn the shoes around my house to break them in. While the leather and the sole are very stiff, you can feel everything molding to your foot during wear. I usually get blisters from new shoes but haven’t had any discomfort except the stiffness in material as the shoes get used to being worn.

The toe box of this shoe is too short. If you have somewhat long toes, and wear a larger size,avoid this shoe. The size 10 was too short, but this designer does not offer half sizes after size 10. My only choice was a size 11, which I knew by experience would be too big especially in the heel cup. Too bad! The last supposedly was a new one, but again like the others, not offering a 10.5 tells me to never order shoes from this designer again.
