unsafe - harmful offgas and needs side barrier
I noticed a chemical odor when I opened this item and didn’t think much of it- figured it needed to offgas for a few hours and would be fine. My lungs started bothering me and I didn’t believe it was this item until I noticed the same issue when I tried it on the next day. I looked at the materials tag and sure enough the foam used is a lung irritant and “possibly carcinogenic”. This is a product for babies! I also ordered Lilliebaby and the Nuna carrier and none smelled like this one. The other issue is the hood is annoying to tie on the straps when you want to use the sun shade and the whole thing seems unsafe because there are no straps under the baby’s arms. If it’s not tight enough and the baby falls asleep and slouches, they could totally fall out through the side. It’s a real shame because it’s so darn pretty and the lightly padded straps are a nice touch compared to other minimalist carriers.
