Decent boots but after a while the sole will develop a protrusion in the footbed just below your little toe. This is the second pair to do this. I thought the first pair was an anomaly and bought a second. Then it was over a year before I called and did not get any credit on their failure; so I won't try a third pair.

I’ve used them for 160 miles this year on off road dog walks. They are narrow at the opening so you have to wiggle your foot in even if you loosen the laces. They completely failed their “waterproof” capability simply by walking through wet tall grass after some rainy days. The tread is not very good on mud…I am going back to my Salomon Quest 4 what I consider the best hiking boot ever made….if you’ll be in dry, easy conditions and you have thin ankles this might be a perfect boot for you. If wet feet are on the line go elsewhere.
