Saige Ankle Wide Leg Jeans

Had to size up and up in these. Normally I wear a 26-27 in all my other AG’s but had to keep requesting the next size up in the fitting room. The Jean itself is so cute and soft. The denim Hangs just right. I am 100% over stiff non conforming denim….well, maybe only 90%. Just wanted a pair of jeans to throw on that are comfortable standing and sitting. I brought home the size 29. Crazy. I expect the sizing to be all over the place with mother denim but I have been pretty consistent in AG for the last 10+ years. Length wise, they hit just slightly above ankle.

Sizing has been a challenge. I sized up from my normal AG 26 (Mari, Prima) to 27 because the jeans have a wedgie tendency on my body. My bum is not small or flat but not artificial either. I tried the 28 too, which were SO comfortable but too big in the bum according to husband. The movement on the jeans is amazing, and that is my favorite part about them. When standing still I wish they flared naturally like a bell bottom but they are not that structured. I love AG denim and the wide leg trend is the “it” jean trend right now, but I pray I don’t find another pair that I like better. I do think AG put the memo out early and because of that I plan to love them all Spring and Summer.
