Clifton 9 Running Shoe (Women)

I’ll start this review with sizing. Other reviewers stated that the Clifton 9 was larger than the Clifton 8, so I was skeptical ordering my typical size. My typical size ended up working out and felt about the same as my Clifton 8. The toe box feels a bit more roomy in the Clifton 9, which is why I think some are saying to size down. I think you could be safe going TTS or a half size down, but I wouldn’t size down more than that. Comfort wise, these are definitely not as comfortable as the Clifton 8, but still much more comfy than other running shoe brands. I have relatively high arches and still feel good support from the shoe. I ended up opting for the Pale Mauve and Shifting Sand and am in love with the colors in person. Even with the comfort difference, I still bought 2 pairs and plan to keep them!

Hoka Clifton 9’s are the best walking shoe on the market, but BEWARE BUYING THEM FROM NORDSTROM ONLINE. I received the cloud blue/ice flow Clifton 9’s an hour ago and upon opening the box I was appalled to see and smell what I received. The stench of the shoe was atrocious. They were obviously USED/WORN, smelled beyond belief, and covered in a red dust. The shoes were dirty and I was in disbelief that such a high scale company would send shoes like this that I paid full price for. Unbelievable and unacceptable. Hoka’s yes, Nordstrom NO, this was unacceptable.
