Good compression, but size up
Like usual, I need to always size up for most of the Spanx items I buy to prevent roll down. And purchased these in a large and my usual size is M or a size 8. I like the compression on these as they nicely shape the tummy area and still let me breathe.

not nearly as slimming
Definitely expected this to be a little more slimming and shaping at the lower tummy but it is basically high waisted underwear. Bummer!

Sadly, not what it used to be
I have been using these kinds of SPANX thongs for a while and just purchased this version given the ones I already have are from a while ago and started unraveling. I also own several other SPANX undergarments and love them. To my surprise I guess this thong product is no longer the same compared to what I bought a few years back - it feels much smaller for the same sizing, has less coverage in the crotch area which I really dislike and isn’t as high rise to be able to fully compress and cover the problem areas without cutting off right in my midsection and making it uncomfortable. I did give it an extra star just because I like the brand and the quality of the material but it seems all else was changed for the worse unfortunately even though the price increased over time.

After reading reviews I sized up and purchased the Large. Size large on the Spanx size grid is 12-14. According to the grid I should have purchased the Med but the Large fits good. I would suggest sizing up on these.

I absolutely love this shape thong! Size is consistent with my other spanx products and the quality is great. It’s perfect under a dress that comes up too high for my other spanx but still sucks in my lower abd!! Without leaving any weird lines elsewear. I’m buying two more.

Need a toned tummy to fit properly
I bought this Spanx when I was a little larger in size, because I had unfortunately gained some weight due to stress. These Spanx fit but weren’t as comfortable as I thought.
My stress has been immensely reduced with my new wfh job and I’ve been able to work out again consistently (2-3 time a week, 30 mins), have lost more than 10 lbs and now these Spanx fit like a glove. I think it helps if your body is a little toned so the material has some solid structure to hold on to prevent the material from rolling.
