Standard Tassel Knee High Boot (Women)

TLDR I really like the boots, happy I finally purchased. Yes they are a major investment for me, the most I have ever spent on any item in my closet. I can see me wearing these boots for many years to come, classic style and well made. If you are looking at these boots go to the PC website and see how to measure your foot and leg to determine size. I did this and ordered my standard size 6.5 in the standard width. They fit true to size for me. These are a heavier boot with the good year sole, if you are used to a leather sole you will definitely notice the weight of the boots. The leather is amazing and does have a bit of a waxy feel. The zipper is very easy to use, does not catch on anything with the inner sleeve in place and is a very nice heavier weight. I love the scalloped detail at the top and the buckle - which really doesn't snug in top of boot more for looks. I have been looking at these boots for more than five years and finally made the investment in them. I expect them to last many many years (I would rather purchase one really great quality pair of boots than many lesser quality ones at this stage in my life). I have also purchased cedar inserts for the boots to retain shape but they stand up on their own. So far no break in, but I do hope these ease in a bit with wear, part surrounding the foot is very solid.,, I do appreciate the ankle area is slim, so far they are not sagging or bunching in this area. (I'm comparing to Fye and Picolino boots which are a different type of leather.) I'm 5'2" 115 pounds and wear a pants size 2. Levi 27/29. In the standard size I do think a thinner leg is necessary and not an athletic leg either, my guess would be it won't zip, size up to extended. My calf is 14 inches. The top of the boot is a good height for me I was concerned it would be too high not comfortable on the back of the knee, not an issue. Check measurements against one of your own boots for comparison.
