Dacio Driving Shoe (Men)

These driving shoes are great for what they are advertised as. The rubber sole offers excellent grip for smooth transitions between pedals, especially if you drive a manual vehicle. The sole is thin (not as much as a pair of Converse Chucks), offering a good amount of pedal feel, and offers more support than other driving oriented shoes/loafers out there. Being advertised as a driving shoe, most of its comfort aspects transition to use inside of a vehicle when operating pedals rather than when you are standing. This shoe does not provide much comfort for long walks as it does feel quite stiff and uncomfortable when standing for too long. For what this shoe is made for, it is a great pick for spirited drives, limo drivers, taxi drivers, or if you want to feel like Aryton Senna. Be mindful that this shoe does have a break in period and will take a while to mold to your foot as it is leather. I normally wear a size 13 US, but sized down to a 12 for a more snug fit as the leather will expand with continued use.

The shoes are extremely well made and the leather is high quality. They are comfortable and the rubber on the sole makes them nonslip. The sizing runs large - I would order a half size down.

It's well crafted exterior with its fine lines makes it stand out. I absolutely love the driver comfort sole on this shoe. It's a all around win. Highly recommend this shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always buy Donald Pliner shoes for their style and comfort. These Dacio shoes are both. The shoes are so well made of really nice leather and the stitching is perfect. I like that the soles are rubber which helps when walking in all types of weather. These shoes seem to run a bit larger than stated. I wear a size 8 and there is ample room in the toe area but not enough to make them fall off my foot nor is there any discomfort. The styling is for dress casual or sporty attire.

Consistent with the Donald Pliner reputation and personal experience, these shoes do not disappoint. This brand of shoe always gets me compliments, over and above other designer brands. The leather is soft. The color description is precisely cognac, not beer, not caramel, not butterscotch. These shoes are pliable and not stiff, perfect for driving but also for work and a night out. These shoes are built to last. The stitching is refined to the highest standard. The fit is true to size. The midsole on the outside is covered in the same high quality leather as the rest of the outside, therefore, probably not a shoe that can be 'stretched to size.' You will want to avoid puddles or anything that might stain or damage that underside portion, especially if you cross your legs. You just can't go wrong with this brand or this shoe. You'll always be glad you bought these.
