As a 5'11" model, finding sneakers that combine style and a proper fit should be straightforward, but this has not been the case with Kurt Geiger sneakers. Despite my enthusiasm for the brand's designs, their sizing was extremely disappointing. Even a size 11, larger than my usual size 10.5, was too small to wear. This specific issue with Kurt Geiger goes beyond mere discomfort; it highlights a serious failure in fairness and inclusivity. By not accommodating women who need average or above-average shoe sizes, the brand seems to be enforcing an outdated and narrow standard of femininity. This is particularly exclusionary and objectifying, sidelining not only taller women but also trans women who might require larger sizes. It's imperative for brands like Kurt Geiger to adapt and cater to the full spectrum of women's sizes, reflecting the true diversity of their customer base. Until they do, they are not only neglecting a significant segment of the market but also contradicting the inclusive values that should be at the heart of fashion today.
