not your typical 574
The fit is comparable to other New Balance 574s. I have a few 574s and I was not expecting the unfinished tongue, with exposed foam.

SO SMALL!
I believed the sizing info and bought half a size smaller (9.5) They were painfully small. So i bought them again- they didn’t have a 10 so i got the 10.5. I can’t even tell a difference! My toes hurt. So i am returning and ordering a third time- size 11. The width is great and i love the look of the shoes, but i can’t believe how small they run and i don’t understand how anyone says they run large.

Smaller than Usual
Quality was good. I like the profile. It's slimmer than the older 574. But I've been wearing the 574 for years. My foot measures a perfect 12 and medium width, but I've always purchased the Chinese made 574 in a 13, because it was always just a little smaller than the American made New Balance styles. I also like the 574 for the ample room in the toe box. This particular shoe was different though. It was cut smaller all throughout, pressing on the side and end of the toe, where my current older 574s offer at least a thumbs width between my toe and the end of the shoe.

Runs small and narrow, def try on before buying
Great shoe, construction and materials used. But I’m usually a size 8.5/42 , but this shoe fits too small and tight/narrow width for me. Unfortunately, had to return. Make sure you size up or try on beforehand
