plastic face casing, not sterling silver

This item is not all sterling silver as advertised. I thought it was too light when I unboxed it but I liked the way it looked. Today I noticed the casing around the face had rubbed off. It looks like it’s silver paint over PLASTIC. Not even brass or nickel or something. I think the band is sterling silver but I’m not even 100% sure. It weighs so little. It’s my daily watch and it will look terrible in a few weeks for sure. Definitely would not buy again.

(1) I know I’m not

(1) I know I’m not the only reviewer who has mentioned that the clasp is sometimes hard to close. (2) when it first arrived, I did not know that the folds in the box unfolded and lo and behold, there were the operating instructions all in pictures. I am a baby boomer, and I for one like printed paper manuals with the products that I buy. (3) I’m glad that my jeweler who adjusted my strap for me also knew how to adjust the day of the week. As I could not find that either in the instructions or figure it out on my own.

A decent watch, but the

A decent watch, but the casing is fragile. One of the nubs that holds the band to the casing broke within 3 weeks of wearing it. I picked timex hoping to avoid this, since the problem happened with other watch brands. Would not order again.

I like the appearance of

I like the appearance of the watch and most of the display. The "Day" is displayed so small I almost missed it. I would rather have the Day displayed in the window where the alarm is displayed.
