Luna Sleeping Night Oil

What attracted me to this product was the ingredients list: impressive & natural with a good selection of Omega-rich and antioxidant oils in the formulation, plus a retinoic acid ester in the form of 'Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate' - one of the newest forms of retinoids and also seen in 'The Ordinary's' Granactive Retinoid range. Sunday Riley themselves suggest one of the ways to use this is to layer it apply it BEFORE 'Good Genes', something I just couldn't get my head around: why would you layer any product over another one which is composed almost totally of oils, preventing the next non-oil based product from even reaching the skin? I decided to do it my way and use just Good Genes on one side (my left) and Luna Sleeping Night Oil on my right. Turns out that although both sides were softer and more glowing by the end of my trial, the side with the night oil was less so, although slightly better hydrated than the left. Admittedly there was a difference compared to the previous week when using a different product, but it wasn't huge. As for the smell of this product...I've read everything from 'rotting lettuce' to 'rancid oil' but honestly I didn't mind it at all, it was just different. All in all I do like this but wouldn't necessarily go out and purchase another bottle. This oil is amazing. I am 49, I have very, very tiny lines near my mouth I can see in the sunlight. I do not have deep wrinkles (yet) thanks to genetics! I literally noticed the NEXT DAY that my skin was GLOWING and looked tighter across my cheeks near my mouth. I was not wearing anything but Nars concealer under my eyes and on my one sunspot on my left cheek-which looks lighter after 5 days of using this oil. I used Fresh Soy cleanser rinsed and dried and applied the LUNA oil. You have to rub the oil into your skin "gently but firmly", this helps the oil penetrate the top layer of skin. I noticed this glowing effect the second time I used it. The night before I was careful to evenly distribute the oil. I use a dime size amount, too much more than that and the skin cannot absorb it as well. The next day in the sunlight in the car I looked in the mirror and saw the difference. I never go out without foundation, since we are WFH, I haven't been wearing foundation--but I did not need it to even my skin tone--that is a first! I wish I had taken a before and after photo. This was after a shower and thoroughly cleansing my face that morning. Buy this, you will not be disappointed. Worth every penny!

Absolutely see results right away! Product is so soothing and non- irritating for my delicate aging skin. So glad I got Nordstrom’s sample gift pack of great products! I would never had tried them because knowledge was lacking. I really LOVE getting these sample packages!! They are filled with such a large assortment: skin care, hair care and fragrance’s. I have ordered so many ‘NEW’ beauty products because of this great marketing tool! So thanks and keep up the good work! Nordstrom’s service and customer satisfaction is the very best!! Bar none.

This is a holy grail for me. I’m 43 with combination skin and some fine lines. This never dried my skin out even though I use it every night. I never have break outs with this and my skin tone is so much more even. It does smell really bad to me but I’m used to it now and the results negate the smell. I wouldn’t say it got rid of my forehead lines but I haven’t noticed any new ones. This is a great, gentle product and the oil really helps to stop any dryness/reaction.
