Chappie Slip-On Sneaker (Women)

I ordered the Flexx Chappie in 3 stunning colors. ‘Gold’ is a cream leather with embossed snakeskin pattern and subtle gold threads woven into the espadrille straw . ‘Black’ has a touch of silver in the embossing, and silver threads woven in the straw. ’Canne di Fucile’ is an elegant taupe color, with a crosshatch pattern, and the threads are silver. Zoom in to really appreciate these colors/textures! The leather is very thin, a high quality material that is beautifully sewn, and soft as slippers. This is a big trend in Europe - but be aware - the trade off is minimal support. It’s easy to use a shoehorn to put them on & remove them - which is recommended for all quality shoes, and will prevent stretching. The ecru colored soles are super flexible, and the footbed is nicely padded. There are pull on tabs, and the small elastic bands on toe box are color coordinated. I am size 9 (EU 40) or 9.5 (Eu 41). I have narrow heels, and a left bunion. It is difficult for me to find casual, comfortable summer shoes that are a step up from sneakers. Ordered both sizes and the fit was very close- With lightly padded sock, the 9.5 was perfect. But I decided on size 9 so I can wear them with Hue liners or short hosiery socks. I’m wearing the taupe now, which looks great w dark jeans, purple, red, black and olive. I will probably keep all 3 colors - these are the first flat espadrilles that have captured my heart and caressed my feet!
