Doesn't smooth at all
I have curly hair that I blow dry and flat iron straight. I thought this sounded like a good product to try after reading reviews plus I love the Morrocanoil fragrance. I have tried sooo many products in my lifetime, from drugstore to salon products in search of the miracle product that will eliminate frizz and smooth my hair. Well, this is no better than any other product I've tried...ever. It smells nice, but there is nothing else positive I can say about it. It made no difference whatsoever in my hair and I even both the smoothing shampoo and conditioner to try as well. Sent all three back. Dont waste your money. So far in my search, the best I've found is Aveda smooth infusion primers nd Naturally straight. The search that never ends....

It’s a good moisturizer for the hair
Smoothing Lotion moisturized my wavy hair, it felt smoother. But after I curled my hair I didn’t notice it kept the shine. I’d say this for very dry hair like mine, so it helps waving down the hair but be careful with the amount you apply to your hair. A little goes along way.

Leaves Hair Soft but Beware of Oiliness
I had high hopes for the Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion, especially considering the brand’s reputation for quality hair products. While it did leave my hair feeling soft and manageable, I found that it also made it overly oily. Even using a small amount seemed to weigh my hair down and make it look greasy after just a few hours. If you have dry hair, this might work well for you, but for those with oily or easily weighed down hair, I’d recommend proceeding with caution.

Reduces Frizz For Curly Hair
I have used this product on my 8 year old daughter's curly hair that is very frizzy and hard to manage. This smoothing lotion claims to be nourishing, control frizz and increase manageability. It 100% does what it says. Her hair has been very soft and not as frizzy as it was prior to using this. I have only tried using it right after shower and not as a refresher.

An okay product
This is an okay product, helps with taming frizz. It doesn’t make my hair as slick as I would like but it does help. Also, my hair is tightly coiled & kinky afro textured if that helps. I normally use gels for slick or smooth styles so I don’t expect a cream to have the same amount of hold as a gel.
