Gender Inclusive Black Chelsea Boot

Had a pair years ago, but those took a trip to college with one of my daughters. So glad I purchased another pair. Can’t beat Blunies for comfort, waterproof and great tread in snow or rain. Look great with jeans, pants or skirts. I’m 71, and am very careful with footwear choices. These are perfect!

After stalking Blundstones for a while, I finally pulled the trigger on these, and I'm so glad I did. I read dozens of reviews to determine which size to get, but I ended up going to the store to try them on just to be sure. (FYI, apparently, half sizes in Blundstone don't affect the length, but rather the width of the boot). I'm a true 8, and I ended up buying an 8 in these. They fit perfectly comfortably with thick wool socks and lighter cotton socks alike. They hold up very well in rain and snow, though I did also spray them with a weather protector to make them last even longer. They're perfect for just about any conditions - cold, wet, dry. I'm not sure how I got by without these.

I was going back and forth between these and the Dr. Martens chelsea, but ultimately landed on these and I'm so glad I did. I wear a women's 7 US and these (Aus size 4) fit great right out of the box. But please, do wear some taller socks or tuck in your jeans/leggings until the leather softens. The upper leather piece is initially stiff and has a rough edge that rubbed the back of my legs raw on my first long walk in them.

Although these boots fit great on my foot, the back of them cut painfully across the back of my ankle....sort of like they were slicing it! I did not think I could break them in without some considerable pain and had to return them. Heavy socks made the ankle rub even tighter. So disappointed because they did look like the perfect wintery work boot.
