'Yuta' Platform Wedge Sandal (Women)

I wore these all over Europe without any break-in period. Perfect with pants, shorts, anything really. I'm always getting comments on them. They worked really well on those uneven cobblestone streets without having to wear bulky, non-fashionable tourist shoes. The laces make a perfect fit so if your foot is a bit wider, you have wiggle room here. I probably would have passed by these shoes online. My sister had them and I immediately had to get them. I have them in black, plum (from another vendor), Ivory and just picked them up in Taupe and the blue here at Nordstrom.com. I am actually saving them for the future. I really hope they continue to make these because these are my go to shoe for travel. I also like the fact that the sole isn't of any sort of material that absorbs odor like other sole linings. If you want to get creative you can change out the laces to ribbon which you can find online or make your own. Really versatile - I will be crushed when they are discontinued - that's why I am stocking up!

I ordered by mail the Taupe/khaki color, when it arrived, I walked it around our carpeted living room and it seems ok although the sling back strap is a little loose. On our formal dinner night on a cruise, first time I'll wear the shoes I felt the hole where the laces where inserted hit my right big toe. At first I said to myself I will get used to it, but didn't last for 2 hours and my toe got crippled. The hole where made of steel, I think. It's too bad I must return it.
