'Petra' Mary Jane Flat (Women)

I have searched and searched for flats, but all were too wide or, when a rare shoe was narrow enough, it was uncomfortable. I tried the Petra Mary Jane flat at a store that only carried medium widths and liked them; but, as usual, they were too wide. When I got home I checked the Nordstrom website for other options and saw that I could order the shoes in narrow! I ordered my usual size 9 1/2, but they were too long and I easily returned them for size 9, which are perfect. The shoes are pretty and just what I wanted. My only "complaint" is that the insole is glued in and not easily removed to replace them with more supportive and/or cushioned options.

I loved these shoes even more in person, and because I wear an 11W and find it difficult to find cute shoes, I was especially excited to try them on. The shoe itself fit very nicely, was comfortable, and was well made. Unfortunately for me the strap was too short for my foot. At least 3/4 of an inch of the hook and loop surface was exposed, and not only did I feel that marred the appearance of the shoe on my foot, but also I worried that the strap would pop loose with wear. I wished that these had a buckle closure, as I might have been able to make that work for me. I would recommend these shoes for someone with a wide foot who does not have a high foot bridge.
