Sport Platform Sandal

I loved these sandals, loved so much I bought two pairs. And then. And then they stretched completely out of shape. Because they are unlined, the leather does not hold its shape. After wearing for two weeks, my sandals are no longer wearable at all. My feel slide around inside of them. I am sorely disappointed as I love the look and bought these in two different colors.

I agree with all the raves reviews, but I dropped a star because there is no arch support in these. They are comfortable in every other way, but I need arch support and so will wear these for looks and not when I plan to do a lot of walking. It's a shame, because otherwise they would be great city walking shoes for me. They look fabulous with skirts and rolled up jeans. Also the pewter is shinier than in the photos, still beautiful, but not as subtle as I expected. as for fit, I found these to run a bit large. I am a 7 or 7.5. I ordered the 7 and they are a tad long. I don't know if the 6.5 would be better. I advise you to order your smallest size.

I loved the look of this sporty yet stylish sandal the minute I saw it. I'm usually a 7 or 7.5 in EF shoes so I ordered a 7. The sandal fit perfectly but the straps were a bit too tight, and my toes were right at the edge, so I also ordered them in a 7.5 so that I could compare the two fits and then decide. The leather is buttery soft and the padded soles are very flexible and will provide many hours of comfortable wear. They are very casual and will be worn as an everyday alternative to less stylish sneakers, flip flops, etc. I also ordered both sizes in the camel to have as a neutral color. The way that these are selling out, it's better to have both sizes and return a pair. The free shipping and free returns make Nordstrom my first choice for Eileen Fisher and other high-price, quality shoes when I'm unsure of the correct size. These sandals are just beautiful, and the zipper adds the element of fun.

The leather on these is very soft, and the sole is comfortable, but I found that the more I wore them, the worse they fit me. The soft leather -- softened too much and didn't hold the sandal on my foot. The comfortable sole also squashed too much and eventually every time I wore them, they pinched in another place, or allowed my foot to move around so much that they were difficult to walk in. (to be honest, they were really unflattering as well). I don't do well with EF shoes -- they seem to promise much more than they deliver on my feet, and I've often found that the shoe just doesn't go the distance for me.

These are great shoes ... you know that's true when your hip, fashionista daughter (who is in the biz) wants to borrow them. They're both stylish and comfortable, which, when you have Cinderella stepsister feet (read: "big") isn't an easy task to accomplish. That being said, like a few other reviewers wrote, I wish these shoes came in half sizes. I'm a 10.5 W, or sometimes an 11 M. Problem with these shoes, is the 10's are too tight (not wide enough) and the 11's while initially fitting, will soon stretch out, leaving gaps in the leather around the ankle, thereby causing your foot to slip off the foot bed. Not good. THAT being said, I discovered it's a fixable problem. Expensive, but fixable. I had bought my first pair of these shoes (the khaki/taupe color) on eBay, used. They were an 11M, and being used, they were already stretched out. So I took them to my handy dandy shoe repair guy (really a master at his craft) and he stitched the leather to close the gaps. Voila! A perfect shoe ... great looking and safe to wear. (And stitching not even noticeable.) So, now that I knew the trick to making these shoes worth for us in-between sizes lasses , and deciding it was worth paying it to be repaired, I bought another pair here online at Nordstroms in black—on sale. I'm wearing them every other day, with the hopes they stretch out before I leave for vacation overseas. When they do, I'll take them to my shoe guy and have him do the same thing he did with my other pair. And you can bet that both pairs will be my "go to" shoes while walking around the streets of Europe and Israel. Hope this review helps. :)
