Finally!
I've finally found the perfect Mason Pearson brush for me. I have a lot of thick, Asian hair. Medium length, down to my lower collar bone. The pure boar bristle was useless. Ended up in the trash when we moved. The combo was okay, Jr. & Popular sizes. Felt nice and made my hair shine. Also allowed more time between shampoos so it does distribute the oil through your hair as promised. But it also made my hair flat and limp. The detangler is the only MP that smoothed my hair, reached my scalp effortlessly, but left some body and texture. Lots of static on the first brushing. Thought it was another loser. But no fly aways. Feels great on my head. And my 3 year old son likes it too. Calls it the jellybean because of the color. Took 5 years and more money than I'll admit to my husband. But we have a winner.

Bristles Fall Out
I've had this brush for about 2 years. Within the first few weeks the bristles started falling out. Now I'm down to about 1/2. I was looking for a good detangler that I could use to brush my hair out after the shower with a detangler solution. I've held onto this brush because it works, and it's $$$, but the bristles shouldn't fall out. Not well made. I may try a different Mason Pearson brush but if it does the same thing, i'm hoping I can return it.

Holy Grail Hairbrush
I've been wanting a Mason Pearson brush for some time, but was hesitant to spend so much on a brush. I had a Denman brush for years and it worked well, but it recently started to show signs of wear so I decided to splurge on this brush. I have very thick hair, and this brush is perfect! My old brush cannot hold a candle to this one. Very pleased indeed.

bristles fall out
I have thick, long, straight hair. Within a few weeks, the bristles have started to fall out. Unacceptable for such an expensive hairbrush.

Curly Natural Hair
The Mason Pearson 'Detangler' hair brush works well on my 4b/4c natural curly hair. The brush does not pull my hair out and it feels great on my scalp. I brush my hair in sections and I usually brush it when it's wet. I am pleased with my purchase.

Bristles fell out. Doesn't detangle thick hair
Disappointed as half the bristles feel out. It's not even been 2 years
