'Matai' Mary Jane

I bought the Naot Matai strickly for work, cuz I"am on my feet 8 hour's a day, I'am a diabetic my feet get very sore, but not with this shoe, it is like wearing a slipper with excellent support, very flexible good rubber sole, all and all a wonderfull shoe, I have other Naot shoes and sandels,the sandals are better then the Birkenstock sandals,try them you will not be sorry, true to size, I wear a 7.5 and the size 38 was perfect.

I absolutely love these shoes and get compliments every time I wear them. I have arthritis in some of my toes and also suffer from Plantar Fasciitis and have a high instep. Normally I wear a 7M in high heels and 7.5M in flats and boots where I wear socks. I wear a 38 in these. What I noticed is that when I first get them I can wear these barefoot and they are more comfortable than slippers. Over time the leather stretches and if I wear them with socks they will stretch to a point where they are too loose barefoot. So I keep my older pairs for socks and my newer pairs for barefoot. The insoles are also a removable cork and I have replaced the insoles in my older shoes with great success. My one caveat of these shoes is that if you have narrow feet these may be too wide. If you have medium or wide feet they should be great.

I work down the hall from a chiropractor's office and I've seen lots of women coming out of there who wear these shoes because they tell me they are great for support. I thought they were pricey so I never splurged. Recently, however, the aches and pains of walking a lot caught up with me so I decided to go for it and I'm glad I did. Thank you, Nordstrom, for carrying this brand! They are not easy to find. I'm on my feet a lot and they are the most comfortable shoes I've worn. My podiatrist approves! Also, they are really really cute. I'm going to get another pair in a different color.
