'Sylt' Sandal

I am the owner of three pairs of Sylt sandals. Yes, they are expensive but worth every single penny you spend on them and more!! I have severe arthritis in one foot and and a partially fused toe joint so it's not easy to find a shoe that will make walking enjoyable again but the Sylt sandal does just that.I usually take my dog on a three mile walk daily. The foot bed eventually conforms to your foot and then it fits just like a glove. From the first day wearing them, they are comfortable, the arch support is superb and if you need to adjust them due to foot swelling, you can!! I live in these shoes three fourths of the year until weather forces a change. I had to move past the price honestly, I am not made of money, but it has been worth the investment in the long run. My oldest pair which I still wear are I think four or five years old. So divide that money up by amount of years worn, almost daily and it isn't so expensive, plus, you get a great shoe that is well constructed and designed to last. I forgot to mention, the foot beds are removable in case you have orthotics.

I ordered the Jean color and it is nearly black. I normally wear an 8.5 or 9, especially to get a wider toe box. This 8.5 fits perfectly in length, and of course, the width can be adjusted, which is a plus with my bunion. Shoe is well made, sits low to the ground. I would prefer a higher platform, but the shoe is comfortable.

I ordered these for serious walking, to alternate with my FINNAMIC Sausalito that has the rocker bottom. They are excellent quality, but not the right fit for my slim foot. The buckle is just a bit bigger, and hits my ankle in the wrong place, and the last strap at the toe comes down too far, bothering my big toe when I walk. Darn.

Love this brand and have other styles, but this sandal is not the best match for my hard-to-fit foot. The 41 is a bit short for my size 10-1/2 narrow flat feet (42 is too big), and the arch feels like a hard lump in spite of the softer footbed. The shoe also rubs on the outer side of my foot. That said, I think I can break them in eventually. I like the lower heel and they are very well-made. Also, with all the straps they can be adjusted for my narrow foot. They get rave reviews elsewhere, so it's worth a try, I need a good walking sandal.

You do know I have 4 pair of Finn shoes how can you not love them fit great wonderful leather look great what is not to like and you do walk much much better and for me that's an A plus was getting another pair decided to wait I need white so am watching fot that color thank you Finn comfort
