amazing grace eau de toilette spray

I have been a delighted amazing grace wearer for many years. People would always say I smelled "wonderful". I haven't been able to understand why that stopped and why I can't even smell the fragrance anymore myself as little as two hours after spritzing it on. Now I know the original owner and developer sold the company to Coty, who have obviously changed the formula, probably to save money. I am SO DISAPPOINTED I could cry. Now I have to begin the tortuous process of finding a new signature scent. I hope that, with enough complaints, Nordstrom and other retailers can influence Cody to return to the old "amazing" formula.

I hate to agree with all the negative reviews. I have been a loyal Amazing Grace wearer since I decided at 16 that I needed a "signature scent"… 10 years later I have to use what feels like an entire bottle to get the desired effect two spritzes used to give… The smell is sort of the same, but not quite. It makes me desperately sad. It was the one fragrance I owned and *ALWAYS* came back to as my home. I use other scents depending on the season but Amazing Grace always always my everyday, go to fragrance, and now it's just not what it used to be. I hate to retire it.. but I can't spend $50+ on something that is a sad replica of what it should be.

RIP Amazing Grace: Though denied by the new manufacturer, this is not the same fragrance created by the founder of philosophy, Chiristina Carlino. It does not smell the same and it does not last as long as an EDT should and it used to. People who smell and like it for the first time will be disappointed because the fragrance only lasts a few minutes. Old fans stopped buying it shortly after it was sold to the new owner and we noticed the changes in both the actual fragrance and the length of time it could still be detected. The original Amazing Grace was lovely and a gif to all who smelled it and it no longer exists.

This is NOT the original fragrance that so many of us fell in love with. Philosophy was bought out by COTY, who changed the formulation, leaving us with a drugstore quality product at a department store price. They refuse to listen to the MANY complaints of their once loyal customers. Nordstrom shouldn't even carry this line any longer. Let it go to Tj Maxx or the drugstores!!

I have been using PhIlosophy fragrances for years, my fav being Amazing Grace. The formula has definitely changed since Coty purchased the company. It smells NOTHING like it did!!!! Dont you just hate it when they change a product and think we won't notice..... Shame on you Coty!!!! Will not purchase again.
