RE:Denim Ankle Skinny Jeans

These were a beautiful jet black when they arrived, but faded way too much after just one wash. I washed them prior to wearing to get rid of their strong chemical smell - cold water, gentle cycle, inside out as instructed. I couldn't believe how much dye came out after one wash! It was so bad there were drops of dye on other clothes in the wash. The 3 stars are for the great fit (probably one of my best fitting jeans) and it's the only reason I decided to keep them. Just a warning to other shoppers that these will go from looking new to worn in very quickly.

I agree with prior reviewer. The fit is perfect, hugs in the right places. I am 5'1'' and fit right up to my ankle. Fabric is light weight and 4 way stretch. Easy to wash. However, with washing the color does fade. I do not mind since it is still a lighter black and looks good. I have several of these pairs due to great fit, easy to pack, great feel on the body, moves with you.

I bought these since finding black jeans has been difficult lately. My initial impression I was pleased. I bought a 29 since I weave between a 28-29. They fit to size. I’m 5’-5” and 140. I washed them after a quick try-on and after is when I realized I should’ve kept them on longer after trying them on. First, there’s a smell. Sort of burnt hair scent. Second, they feel scratchy. I can feel the seams and the material makes makes me itchy. I think I could handle wearing them for a few hours but definitely not ones you’d want to wear all day. The odor is faint luckily and I can mask it. If you’re not desperate for black jeans, keep looking. I’d return them if it were possible but I won’t return something I’ve washed and worn.
