Maternity Ankle Skinny Jeans

I ordered these with trepidation and a lot of skepticism. This is my 2nd pregnancy. My first time around, I purchased several pairs of affordable maternity jeans, all of which I hated. The material was stiff and the fit was never flattering, always gaping in the crotch. Finally, I purchased a pair of AG maternity jeans, at the whopping price of $200. Sure enough, I absolutely loved them! They were both flattering and comfortable. I ended up living in them for 2/3 of my pregnancy and for several months post delivery. I got so much use out of them that they were well worth the price tag. In light of this, I planned on only buying quality maternity jeans this pregnancy, despite the cost. However, all of the glowing reviews on this brand made me decide to give them a try and would just return them if I didn't like them. I ordered 2 pairs- one in S and one in M. For reference, I'm 5'7 and 130 lbs. Pre-pregnancy, I wear size 27 in denim. The jeans arrived this week and I was shocked (in a good way) about how great these are. To be fair, the material isn't quite as comfortable or flattering as the AG's that I love, but they are really close. At this stage in my pregnancy, the size S fits the best. The length is perfect- hits right at my ankle, and the fit is great- snug, but stretchy and comfortable. Most pregnancy jeans tend to stretch out too much, get baggy in the crotch, and just look unflattering in general. These are just the opposite. My only critique is that the belly panel seems to be a little tighter and less soft than I like. I'm going to keep the size M for later in my pregnancy, when I think I might need the extra room. Overall, these are great maternity jeans at a great price. Highly recommend them!
