18+ Art Mona Lisa - 31213

I was not planing to buy this Lego Set, due to lack of space on my walls. But when I mentioned that this set it is going to retire, at the end of this month, my other half decided this will make a good Anniversary Gift! And it truly was. I really enjoyed building it. The final result is just fantastic. The frame looks so beautifully made. Now, I have to think about where to display it.

Wonderful Lego art set, feels very true to the original art likeness but in a Lego art style. I received this as a birthday present and this was a nice way to introduce oneself to lego building set, especially of the wall art line. Building this was a little tricky, due to how some shapes looks so similar to one another and how the digital colors was not quite alike as the real pieces which made following some of the build pages a little difficult. However that did stop me from completing this masterpiece. One main thing I did not like was Scanning the QR code; it would not work with my camera and even if it rarely did, the page would not even load which made the whole process frustrating. I had to take a picture and then click on the link which worked. Also, for something made to be built as relaxing process, I HATED the QR code, its like the most obnoxious technology and to me just paints the company as lazy. I’m looking to just unwind and build a fun set and get away from the world, so getting on the internet is the opposite of that. I wish there was a CD of the podcast rather than use youtube. Given the price, I would expect more physical extras to keep. Also wish there was a DVD of the building process since using the lego builders app made things more confusing to follow since they use different amounts of materials than what the physical manual suggested which was disappointing and added to my frustration. Not a bad beginners build if you’re trying to get into building Leto but definitely the process could use some improvements.

I do enjoy the Art builds and this is no exception. Fun build and really good value for money due to complexity and skill.

This set is absolutely beautiful to admire on your wall after it's pieced together. Definitely be sure to build on a hard surface to avoid frustration while putting the frame together, but it was a nice relaxing build, I enjoyed the accompanying podcast and the set itself is lovely with easy to follow build instructions, and optional tiles if you do not want the printed eyes and mouth.

This was such a fun build, recommend building while listening to the available podcast. The podcast really elevated the build providing such interesting information from art experts.
