14K Gold Band Ring

This ring is my sixth piece of Bony Levy jewelry and - until this ring - I've always been pleased with Bony Levy. Despite its beauty, this ring is a huge disappointment. The gold is extremely thin and not the quality one should expect from Bony Levy or any 14K gold ring. I first purchased this ring in Oct 2024 as a band to wear during travel. Despite having a desk job, not wearing it to workout, not dropping it, and not banging my hand, earlier this month (Jan 2025) I discovered a tiny piece of wire poking out of the band and stabbing my finger. I loved this ring so much that I instantly jumped online and ordered a replacement. While waiting for it to arrive, I returned the original to my local Nordstrom where the sales associate was as mystified as I was over the metal poking out of the ring. When the replacement arrived by mail the moment I put it on I could feel a small dent in the side of the ring. Ugh! Now I'm torn over whether to keep or return the ring; I feel like an idiot going back to return the ring a second time. Believe me - I am very careful with my jewelry. The problem here is that the gold is too thin, making it very susceptible to dents and damage, including during craftsmanship or packaging. Moreover, if the ring is designed by layering a very thin layer of gold on top of wire, (creating the faceted design) it would explain why a wire poked out of my first ring. Like I said, I am very torn over whether to keep this ring or return. It is very beautiful and sparkles in the light so brilliantly. But I am so disappointed. This ring is definitely not the quality I previously came to expect from Bony Levy.
