I had gained a little weight and needed a dress for spring occasions, graduation, anniversary, etc. I saw this dress in a catalogue and had to have it. I knew the fit and flare design is the best for my pear shaped figure, and the cuban landscape design is right on with the continuation of the tribal/global trend into this season. The catalogue showed it with a gorgeous Kate Spade necklace, but the brown sandals it showed were way too boring for such a stunner. I couldn't decide between the 4 and 6 based on my measurements. I got the 4 luckily, because I think this may run a little large, even though it is the perfect shape for my body type. It might even be better for someone who is evenly curvy, because it is a little too big aroung the shoulders, bust and waist! I will try it on with a push up bra to see if that takes up some room, but the sleeves are falling off my shoulders, so it will have to be altered, or I will have to try on the 2. Its apparently not available at my local store, so I will have to order online. It is a gorgoeus dress, so whichever size I wind up with, I can see getting a lot of use out of it. It can be dressed up with jewelry and shoes for an evening out, or with casual sandals for a daytime look. I bought the matching brown striped bag, and it will be worn all summer, (I just have to find the proper fit)!

This dress is classic Kate Spade. Great for a curvy figure. The gathered detail around the scoop neckline is very nice, and the finish on the dress is beautiful, very typical of Kate Spade. The dress even has pockets! The pattern is color, so not much accessorizing is needed. The full skirt and fitted bodice has a 50s feel which is oh-so-feminine. The cotton is heavy and structured. Love the colors.

I planned to love this dress and waited for weeks to receive it. The material, colors, and construction are outstanding but the dress is too short-waisted for me at 5'7". Because of the almost empire waist styling, the gathers at what should be the waist pouch out and make me look pregnant. Sadly, I'm sending it back.

I'm 5'7", 137lb, athletic build, size 6. This dress fit comfortably, however, the location of the stitching where the top of the dress ends and the skirt begins is in an 'odd area'. I have a normal torso length but this hit me about 2 inches above my natural waist but below where an empire waist would fall. This leaves me unable to belt at the seam and the 'poof' of skirt is again....odd. I've loved this dress since I saw it come online but must sadly return.
