White Caviar Essence Extraordinaire Treatment Lotion

I received a generous trial size of this lotion at Nordstrom and loved it. It goes on smoothly and did not irritate my sensitive skin. However I have taken points off because of the large clumsey bottle. It takes up too much room and is awkward to use. I would need to pour this lotion into smaller bottles. I have settled on a similar lotion of another brand from the store that they helped me pick out. I can't imagine someone with a hand or finger problem trying to deal with this bottle. I use other products from this line and feel that they could have done much better with a streamlined or smaller bottle. I find the absents of other reviews strange.

This review is not about the products quality but more so about Nordstrom being an authorized retailer of La Prairie and selling products past their unopened shelf date. I purchased this product excited about removing my dark spots and as I continually used it I didn't like feel it was addressing my needs. I decided to contact La Prairie and request a consultation because I started to think maybe this product wasn't for my specific skin concerns. The rep asked me for proof of purchase and a batch number located on the bottom of the product because they only can guarantee products from an authorized retailer. I gave her the information and upon doing so the rep made me aware that the product I bought was 4 years and 11 months old and the unopened shelf life is 3 years. I had only had the product for 2 months now so it was already 4 years and 9 months past its unopened shelf life when I purchased it from Nordstroms. The rep did explain that the product isn't considered unsafe but more so its effectiveness is no longer guaranteed. This was very disheartening to hear because as a customer I trust Nordstrom to sale me the freshest products. I was then sent a new batch from La Prairie directly and could see a complete 360 in 3 weeks of use! Check your batch codes, these products are too expensive to not be getting a fresh batch.

I do love an essence in my routine and this is one of the best I have used This helps to hydrate and brighten my skin and reduces the darkness of my pigmentation in my skin and also smells divine a great addition to my skincare routine I would recommend if you want to boost hydration and help treat any pigmentation you may have
