Best. Pants. Ever.
Immediately my favorite pants! The waistband is stretchy knit and SO comfortable. Lightweight with a bit of stretch, the cut and fabric don’t read as too “athletic” making these my go-to for long flights and quick errands.

Paper thin and Runs small
Want to love these, but they’re so thin that every lump & bump shows thru. I always wear a large and Zella and the large fit like tight leggings. VERY Cheap look overall…

Wrinkles during wash.
I thought I loved these after trying on, and actually was going to buy more in different colors.
Luckily I washed these first (cold water) and dried on low for only a few minutes and was going to hang to finish drying , but they came out horribly wrinkled. I tried drying a little longer but they only got more wrinkled. This is not the type of item I want to have to iron, so I will not be buying more. I will stick to my Athleta pants that are similar and I can wash, dry on low for a couple minutes, hang to finish drying and they are perfect. No wrinkles with the Athleta brand.

runs a large and long
I was disappointed in this pair of summer weight Zella ankle pants. They ran very long (full length) on my 5'3 frame and the waistband has a loose/thin band of non adjustable elastic. So, without the customary reinforced, thicker waist panel (and tie) even with the fold over trick, the waistband wouldn't stay up. I may consider ordering a smaller size for a better fit, but I'm not quite sure that these pants are proportioned for my body type. I'm always a size small in Zella pants, so the fuller pant was surprising. I prefer the true crops from last year better. These feel a little less well made (flimsy waistband elastic, messy seams).

Bought as a gift for my mom she’s normally a 14/16, she got the large and they fit perfectly-maybe slightly long. But going up to the XL (16) would be big. So if you’re in between, I’d say size down
