Chadwick Herringbone Overshirt

I wear the two shirts as shown in the photos, as a shirt on top of a lighter shirt, in my case a cotton polo shirt. The shirt substitutes for wearing a sweater. I roll up the sleeves two folds, for a casual look. The fabric is thick. There is a light jacket quality to it. I would not wear it as a shirt -- too heavy and stiff, but it works nicely as an indoor light sweater substitute. Note that it is cotton. I feared that it would require ironing. It does. It irons easily. I then feared it would look wrinkly after the first hours of wearing and be a nuisance It does not. After an unstarched ironing it continues to look soft and unwrinkled. It drapes flat and keeps a soft, unwrinkled look. It is not a maintenance problem. Because it is not against my body, it doesn't get dirty/sweaty.I wear it six or ten times before putting it in the wash and even then it is pro forma. I wear size large shirts. I bought this shirt in extra-large, and it fits comfortably over the polo shirt I wear under it. Because the color is solid -- I have a blue and tan one-- it doesn't conflict with the shirt. The herringbone fabric has depth and thickness, which is why it is stiff, even though soft.
