I'm a consistent size 10 so I bought a large. I also could fit into a medium but wanted all the length I could get. This is knfct 31 inches long from the top of the back collar so it's great with leggings and a gorgeous color. The cotton in substantial and has lots of body. Pretty much fits just like on the model, oversized.

Quality not as expected
I wanted to love this because I appreciated the length and color, but it was far wider than expected and the fabric wasn't the best quality. The raisin was a great color, but already had an appearance of being washed, worn, and a little faded. The M felt like I was wearing a men's size XL - the length was perfect, but while I like my clothing looser/baggy rather than fitted this had no shape and was twice as wide as it needed to be. I decided I could probably find a shirt in my husband's closet that gave the same appearance if that's what I wanted.
