New favorite PNW fall/spring base layer
Wear a Large at 6’2” 220lb with +2 ape index
I wore this shirt early season snowboarding, rock climbing, to work in the pouring rain, to the gym lifting/stairmastering and relaxing around the house. I loved the fit, quick drying and lack of odor retention (even after 4 days). The Tree Wool material breathes in the sun and retains a bit of heat in the crisp air of shady rock walls. Felt great under Gore-Tex in 40deg temps and pouring rain.
I would love this with a hood and the sleeves might be a bit long for the average person but fit me perfectly with my long arms. I wish I had a full body base layer of this material.

Disappointed
First time I used this shirt was on a backpacking trip in the Allegheny forest. It was worn for one day and has rips in the back of it from nothing more than me carrying a backpack. It's comfortable and lightweight but should be able to last more than one trip.

Really nice wool shirt.
Seems very nice for the price. I wear wool baselayers more than half the year I would guess and these seem higher quality than some and a bit thicker. Fit is good as well at XL, which is a bit of surprise considering how small the shorts run.

No Cons
Thank you Mammut for sending me this product to try out! I used it as a base layer for both skiing and rock climbing.
This quickly became my favorite shirt. As for the fit it is slim with long arms and torso which I think is good for a base layer. I’m 6,2 but only 160lbs. A bigger person will definitely feel tight in this. The material is light enough that you don’t overheat while exerting yourself. Even wearing it at the indoor gym wasn’t too hot. Because it’s wool sweat doesn’t seem to leave much of smell. It’s pricey for a shirt but in-line with other wool baselayers. If you are looking for one shirt for all your activities I’d recommend this.
My only complaint isn’t really one, the color I was sent is just ugly. Melange is actually baby-barf green. Not a big deal as this is outdoor gear and not a fashion piece.

Great short for fall outdoor activities or as a winter base layer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shirt is really great! Since I have had it I have lead climbed, boulder mountain biked and ran in the shirt. The shirt is very light weight yet quite warm. The day I climbed and the day I mountain biked in the shirt it was in the 40’s and it was the only shirt I wore. It would also make a great base layer in the colder months. I am 5’10” 190lbs and typically wear a large in most cloths. In this shirt I would order a medium in the future, it’s is a bit bagger in Large than I really like the fit, specifically in the arms. But I will for sure be getting more of these. The comfort and functionality is top notch! (Mammut sent me this product to test)
