Padded Organic Cotton Play Mat

This mat is my FAVORITE thing I purchased for baby. I can’t even describe the texture. It’s soft, but firm. Perfect for tummy time and then little feet learning to walk. Daddy has even been caught napping on the Toki mat! It’s so comfortable. I also love that the cover is washable. This is the game changer, because stuff on the floor is going to get dirty. No wiping or yucky chemicals…just throw it in the wash and it looks like new. If you are on the fence, jump for it! A cushy landing awaits!

I purchased the small size to use as a play mat for my baby and it’s been getting so much use! Perfect to cover our hardwood floors with and protect babys head. The mat is cushy but still firm enough to allow baby to practice pushing themselves up on tummy time. I feel comfortable letting baby roll all over the mat, grab at it, lick it given the make up and material quality of the mat! I appreciate that the mat’s cover is easily machine washable though I do wish that Toki Mats had prewashed the fabric themselves before sewing. Putting that onus on new parents is obviously silly as we’re typically in a time crunch and there’s a high chance of shrinking it in the dryer (which they mostly recommend against- only hang dry or timbling dry without heat lol). Mine had some room to shrink as it was slightly oversized so I tumbled it dry on low and it still shrunk just a tad too much. It barely fit over the foam padding. There was definitely some wavyness and the pkay mat didn’t sit flat for a while because of how I had to shove the foam into the cover. Still, I really like this mat and am considering purchasing the large size so I can lay down on it more comfortably to play alongside baby :)
