Really great everyday bag
My only complaint about this purse is that the saddle color is a little lighter in person than in the photos. Otherwise, I’m OBSESSED with this bag. It’s the perfect size and the long strap is the perfect length. The leather is nice and the little zip compartment inside is great for carrying the small things I need to be able to easily find. Honestly, even when I have a ton of stuff in here (and it fits a ton of stuff) I never feel like I’m digging too long to find anything. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Not Well Made and Bad Odor
I purchased this for a gift for my daughter I have been shopping with Nordstrom since I discovered then in 1990 at South Coast Plaza A flawless relationship this bag is the worst item ever purchased from Nordstrom and toe worst supposed leather bag I have ever purchased. The leather quality was substandard, and did not even seem to be leather.. It had a really bad odor usually associated with fake leather or faux leather. I tried to air it out in a spare room for a week and not success. Sent it back and bought Coach. Do not waste your money!

Would buy again, but could use improvements
Got mine in the cognac color, during the Annual Sale, don't know if I'd pay the regular price for it, either. Fairly supple leather, beautiful color, matches with a lot of outfits. The small interior pocket and the large outside pocket are very thoughtful and useful. After about 6 months usage, some of the bottom corners have started to wear a little. I really hate when bags sag on the bottom, so I put a felt purse organizer on the bottom, which also helps the bag stand. It's a great size to carry things to work, but not have a giant, floppy bag. When deciding between the larger size and this one, the large one just looked like it swallowed my 5'5" frame, and the size makes it floppier, for sure. The zipper is a little funny, since the beginning of it is made to pull out, and tuck into the bag. I'd buy it again, but I do think improvements could be made. Scratches will happen, too. I prefer this over the open tote option, for added security.

Absolutely love this purse! It’s really not that big - so if you’re looking for a huge tote, this isn’t for you. I’m only 5’2” so it’s the perfect size for me. It fits all my stuff including a book + water bottle. Love it! It’s definitely an investment but I can see myself using it for years!

I am in love! I am usually a small bag kinda girl, keeping my purses minimal with the essentials (keys, phone, wallet, lipgloss-done) but decided to try out a larger bag. Why? Well I love Madewell- I’m loyal to the brand. Second, the color is beautiful. The price? I wouldn’t have paid the original price, but the sale I couldn’t pass up. I have the largest tote I use for work back and forth but the medium seems to be the perfect size. I like to use this as a shopper as I am avoiding as many store bags as possible. This bag just may reinforce my shopping- a dangerous habit!
