What it is: An invisible SPF 50 sunscreen primer that smoothes, mattifies and primes skin, giving makeup an all-day hold.
What it does: The sunscreen helps protect your skin while gripping makeup for eight hours of wear. It smoothes skin and blurs pores and imperfections. Plant-based tapioca mattifies skin with a velvety finish while BlueScreen® Digital De-Stress® Technology mitigates the effects of blue light and environmental stressors.
How to use: Apply primer sunscreen liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every two hours. Use a water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating

Primer that is easy to apply and minimizes pores
I received this as part of an educational promotion. I loved how easily this primer was to apply to my skin, and it really did minimize the look of pores in my skin. It also made my skin feel softer as a result. I think my makeup lasted longer with this primer being used before I applied my makeup. I also enjoyed the added benefit of it having an SPF of 50.

Not For Me
At first was I very excited to try this product because #1 I love the idea of sunscreen already in my makeup and #2 still being able to achieve a matte finish with any type of sunscreen/makeup combo. Unfortunately the Coola SunBlur Primer fell short. The primer left a greasy feel and look on my skin after applying. I also felt like it did not blur my pores at all, but actually made them more pronounced looking. The powder foundation I typically use did not spread evenly over the primer and left areas of my face looking patchy or it would cause creasing. I felt like my face did not have a matte finish when I was done applying all of my typical makeup products. The makeup felt like it was melting off throughout the day and did not last my full workday. It smells exactly like sunscreen to me and the scent lingers even after you wash your face. This is not a primer I will use again nor would I recommend it to others. I received this primer as a part of an educational promotion.

This Sunblur Primer Sunscreen with SPF 50 is the kind of product that makes getting ready feel effortless. It smooths onto the skin like a primer while giving serious sun protection which I love for everyday makeup days. The texture is lightweight and silky and it instantly blurs pores and fine lines creating the perfect soft focus base. My makeup applies more evenly on top and lasts longer without feeling heavy or greasy. It keeps my skin looking natural and glowy not shiny and never pills under foundation. I love that it simplifies my routine by combining SPF and primer into one step while still feeling breathable and comfortable all day.

Beautiful But Not Oil-Proof
I really love the texture of this primer! It feels soft and plush going on, almost cloud-like, and the blurring effect is truly immediate! Pores look softened, texture looks smoother, and it gives that effortless “woke up like this” finish without feeling heavy!
Now, let me tell you the honest part, for someone with combination skin that leans oily, and in the areas where I need blurring the most, like my T-zone, I experienced oil breakthrough later in the day. It is not a deal breaker! But blotting papers, a volcanic oil stone, or a light powder touch-up is a must if you lean oily and we are rocking this primer!
What I really appreciate however is how balanced my drier areas stayed! No tightness OR patchiness, even in upstate New York winter weather!
Now if you live in a warmer climate and have similar skin, I would definitely wear this alone on lighter makeup days. The soft focus finish is ACTUALLY that good! And you will be gushing to tell people you don’t even have makeup on!!

Greasy feel
I received this product free for my honest review. It feels quite greasy on my face. It is gel like and watery once spread. It doesn't have the tackiness that most primer has. It has a light scent that's beachy. I don't think it's a very good primer, more like an spf lotion.

If I could go a bit more, I would it wasn’t sticky. The packaging was good. It felt good on the skin. Didn’t even create any weird issues or smells not scented. I can’t believe a product like this cause it was so good.
