Great A/V Receiver
I bought this to replace a 23 year old TEAC AG-D9100 that died. It took about 30 minutes to connect and test. The auto calibration setup was easy and fast. Quality sound with various options depending on the input media. It turns off automatically when I power off the TV and Media source, and turns on automatically when it identifies the TV and media have been turned back on.

Great item.
Purchased this to compliment my new Sony Bravis OLED tv. Very easy to connect all my other components to it. Still learning how to use it but so far so good. Only negative thing I have to say about this is the FM antenna which is a single thin flimsy wire which plugs into the back of the receiver. While it does pick up some local stations the reception for most other stations in the area is poor. Sony should offer other options to improve its poor reception. As the antenna plug is extremely small there are no after market options out there.

Good Entry Receiver
This was not my initial choice I had opted for the Yamaha RX-V-385, I encountered weird bugs when operating it where crackling sounds would happen for no reason, so I went for the Sony STR-DH590. I tested both receivers side by side and ultimately kept the Sony. I found it to be a lot more simple to operate and enjoyed it's sound signature too. The base is much obvious in comparison to the automatic tuning of my speakers than the Yamaha which I happen to enjoy. I can also operate and adjust it directly through my Sony TV "A80J" so I don't have to fiddle with two separate remotes.
I don't like that the 3 out 5 sets of the speaker terminals are clips I prefer the posts offered in the Yamaha. Also surprisingly there has been no update to the receiver since launch which is a bit concerning with regard to future support while Yamaha had updates.

Good 4K reciever. Good price point.
A site map this menu would have made it easier. Even better would be putting all menus on the TV screen.
The downside of this receiver was the spring clips for most of the speaker connections. Twice while trying to connect my centre channel the red clip popped off the receiver and flew across the room. Took me several minute with a mini screwdriver and needle nose pliers to re-attach. I know all budget priced receiver have these clips, but really how much more would it cost to put banana plugs on?
Still, a good little receiver.
