Shane Wool Wrap Coat

I received this coat in very poor condition. I wouldn’t even buy it at second hand price! It was clearly used based on reattached tag, lint all over, and strong perfume smell. Besides the condition, be aware it’s much longer than pictured on the model. For reference I’m 5’4”, purchased size 6, and the coat hit me almost at my ankles. Belt seemed very short considering overall proportions. Also, worth mentioning, the lining is very cheap. Belt loops are very thin strings, which I’m assuming means to be cutoff. So, tying it in the back is not really an option. At this price point, very disappointing quality.

This is a nice coat. It fits well, it’s made well, there’s nothing wrong with it. In this price range, I am looking for something a little special in design, construction or materials. It’s very average, hence the 3 star rating. I ended up returning it and will keep looking for something that feels like a better investment.

The drape and weight of this coat is absolutely stunning. It hangs on your body so elegantly and can be dressed up or down. I got both a size 12 and 14 and while the 12 did fit, I wanted plenty of space for a thick sweater or blazer underneath. I am 5‘11“ and the length of this coat is stunning. My mom tried it on and she is 5’7” and the length was a tiny bit long on her. It is a wonderful weight, extremely warm, but does not feel heavy or bulky. It is a piece that I know will last forever. I will absolutely buy a piece from fluertte again.
