Medium Niki Leather Shoulder Bag

I purchased this bag in store. The chain on mine is gold, not gunmetal. I didn't realize there was an option until I was asked to review it. I thought about returning it and getting the one pictured so I could use it as an "everyday" purse, but decided against it. Also, in the online pic the leather looks a little "wrinkled". In person, the leather is smooth and soft. The color is really beautiful.

I love handbags. When I find a fave, I tend to carry it for months. In times of the Covid crisis, I haven't really thought about switching because I rarely go out of the house. However, this bag caught my eye during a routine perusal on the Nordstrom website. it's the perfect size with more separate pockets than the pic shows. the leather is incredibly soft, the color Seaweed is so beautiful and the chain is burnished enough to play off the Seaweed color. The weight of this bag is another plus, not heavy at all. I really didn't expect to love it as much as I do, and I hope to take it out one day just because.

Over the years I have grown to love Saint Laurent for their amazing leather that ages well and is very durable. This is a great everyday bag. I love the beige on beige except mine has a gold chain. The exterior back pocket tipped me over, for quick access to my phone and no need to open flap very each time. The inside is non fussy and typical of YSL very practical. This is a great everyday bag and I love the softness of the calfskin - it’s soft but not shapeless. Highly recommend.

I ordered this bag in the “Rouge legion” color. It was supposed to be burgundy with a gunmetal silver chain and a nude YSL logo. The bag I received was burgundy with a burgundy YSL logo and a gold chain. The bag itself is really nice, good size and leather is gorgeous - but just not what I wanted or ordered. So I will be taking it back. Just an FYI, not sure if anyone is actually getting the exact bag in the pictures listed.
